Yecheon (South Korea), May 22 (Ozi news desk): The Indian women’s compound archery team, ranked number one in the world, advanced to the final and remains in contention for another World Cup gold medal. On the other hand, the men’s team, also ranked number one, failed to meet expectations and missed out on a bronze medal. Turkey defeated South Korea in the semi-final to secure their spot in the final. The Indian women’s team had a smooth journey, receiving a bye into the quarterfinals and defeating Italy in the last-eight. The men’s team, however, faced a setback, losing to Australia in a shoot-off. The Australian team, ranked 21st in the world, surprised the Indian trio and ultimately secured the bronze medal. India had a strong start to their campaign, defeating Vietnam and overcoming tough competition from Denmark and the top-seeded USA in shoot-offs.
