Initially, the Royals seemed poised to finish at the top of the league standings, but a series of losses and a washed-out match against KKR led to them finishing third behind Sunrisers Hyderabad.
On the other hand, RCB has made a remarkable comeback after a poor start to the season, winning six consecutive matches to secure a spot in the playoffs by defeating defending champions Chennai Super Kings. Despite being the 2008 IPL champions, Rajasthan Royals are now considered underdogs due to their recent poor performance, highlighting weaknesses in both their batting and bowling departments.
The absence of Jos Buttler has weakened their batting lineup, putting more pressure on Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Riyan Parag to step up and stop the downward spiral.
