Cricket World Cup, 23-03-23 (Press Ki Taquat): International Cricket Stadium Dharamshala will also host the ODI World Cup matches in October and November after the IPL matches. The ICC meeting held in Dubai has shortlisted the World Cup match dates and stadiums in India. Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is also included in the total of 12 stadiums. The final match of the Cricket World Cup starting from October 5 will be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Apart from this, other matches will be played in Dharamshala, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot and Mumbai.
In March 2016, Dharamshala Stadium hosted T20 Cricket World Cup matches. A match between India and Pakistan was also proposed here, but due to public opposition, this match was changed from here to Kolkata. Apart from this, 9 matches of Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cup were played in Dharamshala Stadium. Now for the second time, Dharamshala Cricket Stadium will host the World Cup matches. A total of 48 matches will be played in the ODI Cricket World Cup. It is hoped that three to four matches can be played in Dharamshala Stadium.
Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Secretary Avnish Parmar said that Dharamshala is one of the shortlisted cricket stadiums for the One Day Cricket World Cup matches to be held in India in October-November. He hoped that three to four matches in this World Cup will come as part of the Dharamshala Stadium.
