Chandigarh, July 27 (Press Ki Taquat Bureau) : Punjab cadre IAS officer Anindita Mitra is set to take over as Commissioner Municipal Corporation Chandigarh. This comes after the Ministry of home affairs (Govt. of India) cleared the names of 2007 batch Punjab cadre IAS officer Anindita Mitra to serve on deputation in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Commissioner.
The names of Anindita Mitra was shared by the Punjab department of personnel and training and were subsequently placed before the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi for final clearance.
According to the top government sources, the names of Anindita Mitra officials cleared by the Union government are most likely to take over the new assignment in Chandigarh administration as Commissioner Municipal Corporation. “It is rare that after the approval of the Minisrty of Home Affairs hindrances crop up in the announcement of the names cleared. Anindita Mitra will serve the Chandigarh (UT) for three years on deputation.
Presently Anindita Mitra is working as Director Information and Public Relation Punjab.
