Patiala, 25-04-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)– The Eco Club of the Government Bikram College of Commerce celebrated ‘World Earth Day’ in the college campus under the leadership of Principal Dr. (Prof.) Kusum Lata. The objective of the program was to spread awareness about environment conservation and protection of mother earth for the future generations.
On this occasion, students’ poster making and nest making competitions were conducted. Students participated in these competitions with great enthusiasm. Students created beautiful nests and posters.
Speaking during the event, Principal Prof. Kusum Lata said that for the safe future of our future generations, we need to work together to clean the environment which is getting polluted day by day. He said that if we are not aware even now, then we will have to bear the consequences along with our future generations.
On this occasion, the presentation presented by the students made everyone present realize the importance of their homeland and the need to appreciate it. The students also took a pledge to celebrate every day as Earth Day. The program was moderated by Dr. Jaspreet Kaur and Dr. Tarandeep Kaur
