Patiala, March 17(Press Ki Taquat): Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni directed the district authorities to act in this regard from now on to protect the people from diseases caused by bad water in the summer season and said that the unauthorized water connections in the district should be removed. Regulate as soon as possible and ensure that water and sewage lines are checked to prevent diseases caused by contaminated water. Sakshi Sahni, fixing the responsibility of the functional officers of all municipal councils of the district, said that if diaries or other diseases spread in an area due to bad water, then the functional officer of the concerned area will be responsible. He said that the authorities should start working in this regard from now so that they do not face any kind of problem during the summer season. He was taking stock of the ongoing development works in the district with the city councils and municipal corporation officials today at the district administrative complex. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner reviewed the work done regarding property tax collection, building plan, water supply and sewage, prevention of dengue vector borne diseases, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, solid waste management, waste to wealth and instructed the officials that unauthorized Action should be taken as per the rules made by the government to regularize the colonies and also ensure that no new unauthorized colonies come into existence. On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Gautam Jain, Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Naman Markann, Axion JP. Executive officers of all municipal councils of the district including Singh were present.
