The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has selected Jiwan Gupta, a senior party leader and member of the Punjab BJP’s core committee, who has previously served as the state general secretary. Additionally, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has chosen Parupkar Singh Ghuman, a lawyer and former president of the Ludhiana Bar Association, as its candidate. In total, there are 14 candidates contesting in this election, with 175,469 eligible voters ready to cast their ballots.
