Pune, May 21 (Ozi news desk): The father of a 17-year-old boy, who was allegedly involved in a fatal car accident in Pune, has been detained by the police. Additionally, three executives from two hotels have been arrested for serving liquor to the underage driver. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday when the 17-year-old, who the police claim was intoxicated, was driving a Porsche car and collided with two motorbike riders in the Kalyani Nagar area of Pune. The collision resulted in the death of the two riders. The teenager’s father has been detained in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and will be arrested in connection with the case. The police have also arrested the owner and manager of Cosie restaurant, Pralhad Bhutda and Sachin Katkar, respectively, as well as the manager of Hotel Blak, Sandip Sangle, for serving alcohol to the underage driver. All individuals will be presented in court later in the day. The police have obtained CCTV footage from the bar, which clearly shows the juvenile consuming alcohol, providing evidence that he was driving under the influence. These facts will be submitted to the court for further proceedings.
