New Delhi, 3 Dec (Sumit Joshi) : On Tuesday, an email containing a hoax bomb threat aimed at the Taj Mahal was sent to the regional office of Uttar Pradesh Tourism. In response to this alarming communication, a comprehensive security operation was initiated, involving the bomb disposal unit, canine units, and various other specialized teams. ACP Sayed Areeb Ahmad, who is responsible for the security of the Taj Mahal, informed PTI that after thorough inspections, no suspicious items were discovered. He stated, “An email was received by Uttar Pradesh Tourism office threatening to blow up the Taj Mahal. We have found nothing as per the email. Bomb disposal squad, dog squad and other teams reached the Taj Mahal for the safety check.” Furthermore, Deepti Vatsa, the deputy director of Uttar Pradesh Tourism, confirmed that the bomb threat email was promptly forwarded to the Agra Police and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for further investigation and necessary action.
