Patiala, 15 February

              Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab hosted its 6th Convocation on 15 February, 2025. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Visitor, RGNUL Punjab, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab & Haryana and Chancellor, RGNUL Punjab conferred the Degrees to 300 students in the presence of Justice Arun Palli, Judge, High Court of Punjab & Haryana and Member of the General Council, RGNUL, Punjab. Degrees were conferred on three batches of LL.M., three batches of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) alongwith LL.D. and Ph.D. Scholars.
Professor (Dr.) Jai S. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, RGNUL Punjab welcomed the distinguished guests, students and their parents and presented the report of the University.

Hon’ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Visitor, RGNUL Punjab in his Convocation Address emphasized on “Your generation enters the legal profession at a pivotal moment in our nation’s history. The intersection of technology, social change and legal evolution creates unprecedented opportunities for those who are well-prepared. Your education has equipped you with more than knowledge – it has cultivated your ability to think critically, act ethically and adapt continuously. These skills, combined with the resilience you’ve developed during your unique educational pursuit, position you to not just practice law, but to help shape its future direction.”

              Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab & Haryana and Chancellor, RGNUL Punjab in his Chancellor’s Address stressed on “Your actions, your decisions and your words have the power to shape society, to impact lives and to uphold the trust placed in you by your clients, the public and the Courts. With the knowledge and training you have received at this University, you are well-equipped to face these challenges and I have no doubt that you will not only excel, but also succeed.”

Chancellor’s Medal was awarded by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sheel Nagu to Bhawna Gera (Batch 2015-2020 of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), Neha Jain (Batch 2016-2021 of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) and Aditya Vyas (Batch 2017-2022 of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.).

              Vice-Chancellor’s Medal was awarded by Prof. (Dr.) Jai S. Singh to Suparna Jain, Vandana Sharma and Shaurya Dhoundiyal from Batch 2015-2020 of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), Priya Agrawal and Mohit Dang from Batch 2016-2021 of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), Bipasha Khatana and Kushagra Gupta from Batch
2017-2022 of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.).
