New Delhi,15-02-23(Press Ki Taquat): Sports Desk The Indian women’s cricket team will take on the West Indies in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup today in Cape Town. Team India is confident that its leading women batsman Smriti Mandhana will be available to play the match. Indian coach Troy Cooley also said that Smriti Mandhana will probably participate in the match against West Indies. Smriti Mandhana did not participate in the match against Pakistan due to a finger injury. The left-handed batsman suffered a finger injury in the warm-up match against Australia, after which she was ruled out of the second warm-up match against Bangladesh. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur expressed happiness over Smriti Mandhana’s progress ahead of the match against West Indies. Coach Cooley said, ‘Yes, Smriti Mandhana is working hard. His condition will be taken care of. He did whatever he needed to do. We are confident that she will be fit for the match against West Indies. The Indian team is at the second position in Group B after a big win over Pakistan. Jemimah Rodrigues was adjudged Man of the Match against Pakistan for her unbeaten 53 off 38 balls with 8 fours.
