Hyderabad, April 6 (Ozi news desk): Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming described pacer Mukesh Chaudhary’s performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad as a challenging debut, emphasizing that the team will continue to support their players in search of a new hero when lacking firepower.
Despite suffering a six-wicket loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad, CSK remains committed to their players. Mukesh, who was brought in as an Impact Sub for the first time this season, bowled the second-most expensive over of the 2024 IPL, conceding 27 runs. Facing Abhishek Sharma’s aggressive batting, Mukesh struggled to contain the runs.
Fleming acknowledged that it wasn’t Mukesh’s day but expressed confidence in the team’s ability to manage players and find new heroes when needed. He also noted that the first few overs were favorable for batting, which was evident in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s aggressive approach.
