New Delhi, May 13 (Ozi news desk): Mohit Ridhau, a 28-year-old man, has been detained in Kolkata for his suspected involvement in a shooting incident at a second-hand luxury car showroom located in West Delhi. The police, in a statement on Monday, revealed that Ridhau was apprehended through a collaborative effort between the West Bengal and Delhi police forces. He is currently being transported to Delhi for further investigation and legal proceedings.
Ridhau, originally from Sonepat in Haryana, has been linked to approximately twelve criminal cases in both Delhi and the state of Haryana, according to the police. This suggests a history of criminal activities and involvement in unlawful incidents, making him a person of interest in ongoing investigations.
Prior to Ridhau’s arrest, another individual identified as a “spotter” named Ketan was taken into custody. Ketan reportedly facilitated the transportation of Ridhau and another shooter to the showroom on his motorcycle. The shooting incident occurred on May 6 at the Fusions Cars showroom in Tilak Nagar, resulting in injuries to seven individuals due to shattered glass caused by bullets striking doors and windows.
At the scene of the crime, a handwritten note was discovered bearing the names of three alleged gangsters – Himanshu Bhau, Neeraj Faridkot, and Naveen Bali. Additionally, the showroom owner received a threatening call from an international number demanding Rs 5 crore as “protection money”. The police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the second shooter involved in the incident, indicating an ongoing effort to bring all perpetrators to justice.
