chandigarh, 26 february (ozi news desk): The killing of INLD’s Haryana unit president Nafe Singh Rathi was labeled as the state’s “first political murder” by the Congress on Monday. Senior Congress leader Raghuvir Singh Kadian emphasized that Rathi’s death was not natural, but a political murder, marking a significant incident in Haryana’s history since its formation in 1966.
The Haryana Assembly paid tributes to former Lok Sabha speaker Manohar Joshi at the start of the day’s proceedings, with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar leading the House in honoring Rathi. Kadian highlighted Rathi’s journey from a farmer family to an MLA, calling for the arrest and exemplary punishment of those responsible for his killing.
