Haryana Chief Minister, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, transferred ₹1,634.27 crore directly into the bank accounts of 5,046,624 eligible beneficiaries across the state through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) on Saturday. This was done as part of the monthly series of transferring benefits to eligible individuals of various welfare schemes on the 10th of every month. Four beneficiaries—three women and one farmer—pressed the button to transfer the benefit amount, describing the experience as memorable and praising CM Nayab Singh Saini’s style of governance.

The Chief Minister stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of untiring service to the nation and strong willpower have made this possible. Today, when the Central Government sends ₹1, the double-engine government enhances it to ₹1.25 and utilizes it for development work. In contrast, during the Congress regime, there were Prime Ministers who used to say that out of every rupee sent by the Centre, only 15 paise reached the ground. He reiterated the state government’s resolve to ensure that benefits of government schemes directly reach the bank accounts of the poor, farmers, women, youth, elderly, and needy sections without any hassle or middlemen.

The Chief Minister added that Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and the Parivar Pehchan Patra-based system have further strengthened transparency in government schemes. Adopting a ‘Pro-Active Model,’ the government has established a system where benefits are automatically delivered to eligible citizens.
