Chandigarh, 22 February (ozi news desk): Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has responded to the tragic death of Shubhkaran Singh at the Khanauri border during the farmers’ attempted Delhi march today. In light of this incident, he has ordered the deployment of all ambulances and Sadak Suraksha Force (SSF) vehicles at the borders where farmers have gathered and are attempting to move towards the national capital. Additionally, two ministers and one MLA, who are medical experts, will be stationed at the borders to address any health emergencies that may arise.
To ensure the well-being of those at the borders, specific responsibilities have been assigned to key individuals. Dr. Charanjit Channi, the MLA of Chamkaur Sahib, will oversee the operations at Rajpura Government Hospital. Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, an eye specialist, will be responsible for the Government Hospital in Patiala. Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, also an eye specialist, will provide care and support to the farmers at the Patran and Khanauri borders. Chief Minister Mann has emphasized that those responsible for the youth’s death will face severe consequences.
Addressing the rumors of President’s rule being imposed in the state, Chief Minister Mann expressed his commitment to the people. He stated that he would willingly sacrifice his position for the sake of the people a hundred times over. While acknowledging that he cannot bring Shubhkaran back to life, he assured the family that he stands with them during this difficult time. As Shubhkaran has two sisters, the Chief Minister pledged to take care of both of them.
