Chandigarh, June 27 (Press and Power Bureau) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today asked the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president to clarify what else was done in it other than levelling allegations against him in the special session of the SGPC.That it is surprising that the specially convened session was used only as a platform to condemn them. Bhagwant Mann said that he does not understand where the issue of free broadcast of holy Gurbani was lost in the session and why it was not raised. “This session is nothing more than a gathering of leaders to save the family which is ruling the SGPC,” he said.
Harjinder Singh Dhami was acting as the chief spokesperson of the Shiromani Akali Dal Badal only at the behest of his bosses, the Chief Minister said. He said it was unfortunate that the SGPC session, instead of deliberating on the serious issue related to the propagation of the holy Gurbani, had been reduced to mere slander. Bhagwant Mann said that people know everything and they know very well how the SGPC and its president are working as puppets of a family in the Akali Dal.
