New Delhi, June 28 (Ozi news desk): Flight operations at Terminal 1 of the Delhi airport were halted indefinitely on Friday following a tragic incident where a section of the roof collapsed due to heavy rainfall, resulting in the unfortunate death of one individual.
The incident, which took place at approximately 5 am, also left five people injured, prompting the immediate suspension of all flight departures from T1, which primarily handles domestic flights. In response to the situation, airport authorities are considering relocating operations from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 until further notice to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
Passengers who were already present inside the terminal were able to board their flights before the complete suspension of departures at around 7:30 am, while flight arrivals remained unaffected.
