Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the talk about amending the Constitution is absolutely absurd. He also said that relations with the US are progressing despite the American prosecutors accusing an Indian of being involved in the conspiracy to kill Sikh separatist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu in the US. In an interview given to the London-based Financial Times, he said, ‘India-US bilateral relations are more comprehensive, mutually intelligent and warmer and friendlier than ever.’ Due to the big change, there is full confidence about his victory in the 2024 general elections.
He said, ‘They (people) know that our country is entering a new era. They want this flight to be higher and they know the best party to ensure it, which has brought the country to this point.” Regarding the Hamas-Israel dispute, the Prime Minister said that he is in touch with the leaders of the region and India is ready to do anything to take the peace efforts forward. The Prime Minister recently deferred to a question about the easing of tension between the US and China, saying that it is a matter related to the people and governments of the US and China. Responding to the allegations regarding amending the constitution and taking democracy backwards, the Prime Minister made a fundamental point and said, “These claims are not only an insult to the sanity of the Indian people but also to the diversity of their country.” Their commitment to democracy is to be released.”In response to a question asked about the future of the minority Muslim community in India, he gave an example of the economic success of the Parsis in India. He elaborated, ‘They (Muslims) have the safest place in India and they are living here happily and happily. This proves that there is no discrimination against any religious community in the Indian society. With reference to a survey, Modi dismissed the question asked about the increase in unemployment in India. He also dismissed the claims of high level of corruption in India and said that if this was the case then India would not have become a fast growing economy.
