The spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that the said policeman has been arrested on the complaint of Mohammad Yamin, a resident of Mohalla Milkh, Malerkotla.
The complainant approached the economic crime wing of the Vigilance Bureau Ludhiana range and alleged that the policeman had demanded a bribe of Rs 45,000 from him in return for giving a statement to get a settlement in the case registered regarding a dispute between relatives and to cancel the case in the High Court.
He said that the said A.S.I. 10,000 had already been taken as the first installment of bribe.
