K.A.P Sinha took stock of the current situation of floods
Patiala, Patran, July 15(Press Ki Taquat)
The Special Chief Secretary, Revenue, Punjab, K.A.P Sinha, visited the flood-affected areas of District Patiala on Saturday. He inspected the relief and rescue operations being carried out by the district administration.

K.A.P. Sinha took stock of the current situation in the district while visiting Patran, Badshapur, and other areas of the district. He has hold a meeting in SDM office with District Administration, where Divisional Commissioner Arun Sekhri and Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney explained the whole flood situation to the Special Chief Secretary.

He also interacted with the people who have been displaced by the floods and are staying in relief camp at Badshapur. He assured them of all possible assistance from the Punjab Government and expressed his sympathy for their plight.

The Special Chief Secretary praised the efforts of the district administration, the police, the army, the NDRF and the NGOs for their swift and coordinated response to the disaster.

He said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr Bhagwant Mann is committed to providing relief and rehabilitation to the flood victims and restoring normalcy in the affected areas as soon as possible. He also appealed to the people to follow the safety guidelines issued by the authorities and cooperate with them in this difficult time.

During the visit of the Special Chief Secretary, Secratery Revenue Amarpal Singh, ADC Rural Development Anuprita Johal, Assistant Commissioner UT Dr Akshita Gupta, Divya P and Vivek Kumar Modi, SDM Navdeep Kumar, DSP Gurdeep Singh, the Executive Engineers of the Drainage, and Irrigation Departments, the Chief Agriculture officer, the Deputy Director Animal Husbandry, the District Revenue Officer, the District Food Supply Controlar, District Development and Panchayat officer and other senior officials were also present.
