December 28, 2025 (Ozi News Desk) :-Delhi continued to reel under extreme air pollution, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) soaring to 391at 6 am, as reported by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The situation was further aggravated by dense fog and intense cold conditions, which combined with thick smog to severely reduce visibility across the city.
A combination of cold weather, calm winds, and dense fog is trapping pollutants near the surface, leading to persistent haze and smog across the city. These weather conditions are preventing the dispersion of pollutants, causing air quality levels to remain poor. Experts say this cycle is likely to continue as long as current weather patterns persist, prompting authorities to closely monitor the situation and call for stricter pollution-control measures.
With air quality in the very poor category, health officials have advised people to take precautions. Vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and those with respiratory or heart conditions, are urged to limit prolonged outdoor exposure and use masks when stepping outside.
