The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today embarked on a grand Shukrana Yatra from Shri Kali Mata Mandir in Patiala to Amritsar, as a gesture of gratitude for the immense trust shown by the people of Punjab in the party’s recent by-election victories and the appointment of new leadership. The Yatra symbolized AAP’s appreciation for the continued support and faith of the people of Punjab in its vision for the state.
The Shukrana Yatra was led by AAP Punjab President and Cabinet Minister, Aman Arora, and was joined by prominent party leaders, including AAP Punjab working president Amansher Singh Sharry Kalsi, Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema, Harjot Singh Bains, and Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, AAP MLAs, Chairpersons, and thousands of enthusiastic supporters from across the state.
On this significant day, the Shukrana Yatra also coincided with the foundation day of the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP Punjab President Aman Arora expressed his gratitude to the people, stating, “AAP has grown from strength to strength, driven by the dedication and hard work of its leaders, volunteers, and workers. This journey, led by Arvind Kejriwal and supported by every AAP worker, has been one of integrity, transparency, and commitment to the people.”
Arora further extended heartfelt congratulations to all AAP leaders and volunteers for their relentless efforts in bringing about change and empowering the common man. “Their dedication to the party’s principles and their tireless work for the betterment of Punjab and the nation have been pivotal in making AAP the people’s party. Together, AAP will continue to make strides toward a brighter future for all,” he added.
The Yatra began at Shri Kali Mata Mandir in Patiala at 9:00 AM and passed through several key towns and cities, including Madopur Chawnk, Gobindgarh, Samrala, Doraha, Sahnewal, Jalandhar By-pass, Ladowal Chawnk in Ludhiana, Phagwara, Jalandhar, Kartarpur, and Rayia. The procession made its way towards Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Sri Durgiana Mandir, and concluded at the sacred Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Asthan and Ram Tirath Mandir in Amritsar.
Throughout the journey, Aman Arora and other leaders were warmly welcomed with flowers, chants of “Inquilab Zindabad,” and overwhelming support from party workers and locals. The Yatra was a clear reflection of the rising enthusiasm and solidarity within the party, spurred by the impressive by-election victories.
Aman Arora expressed his deep gratitude to the people of Punjab, saying, “Today marks not only a day of celebration but also a reaffirmation of our commitment to the people of Punjab. The Shukrana Yatra is a reflection of the people’s trust in the Aam Aadmi Party and our leadership. With every step, we are reminded of the responsibility entrusted to us. This Yatra is a promise to the people of Punjab that we will continue working tirelessly to improve their lives. We are committed to bringing a brighter, more prosperous future to our state. He further said that AAP is a party of its volunteers, stating, “Our volunteers are the backbone of this party, and it is their dedication that drives us forward. Whatever our volunteers want, we will ensure it is done. They hold the real power in AAP, and their welfare will always remain our top priority. We will continue to work for their well-being, as they are the true force behind every success of this party.”
Aman Arora further acknowledged the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, and the dedicated workers of AAP. “The journey we started in Punjab with the blessings of the people is moving forward, and with every step, we are building a stronger and brighter future for the state,” Arora added.
Sharry Kalsi, the AAP Punjab Working President, also spoke during the Yatra, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Punjab for their continuous support. He said, “This Shukrana Yatra is a celebration of the trust the people have placed in us. As a party, we are dedicated to fulfilling the promises we’ve made to the people, and we will continue to work relentlessly to improve the lives of every Punjabi. The victory in the by-elections is not just a win for the Aam Aadmi Party but a win for the people who believe in our vision. We stand united, and together, we will work towards making Punjab prosperous and vibrant once again.”
Tarunpreet Singh Sondh, the AAP Minister, also addressed the gathering, thanking the people of Punjab for their overwhelming support. He said, “The massive victory in the by-elections reflects the deep faith people have in AAP’s governance. This Shukrana Yatra is a way for us to express our gratitude and reaffirm our commitment to the people. We will continue to work for the progress of Punjab, ensuring that every citizen’s needs are met and their voices heard.”
The Yatra was a clear demonstration of AAP’s growing influence and the people’s support for its vision. With this event, the party has also signaled the beginning of a focused campaign for the upcoming 2027 Punjab Assembly Elections.
