The Election Commission today issued a show-cause notice to Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi for her ‘envelope’ comment related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s temple visit. The Election Commission has asked the Congress leader to respond to the notice by October 30 evening. A day after the BJP filed a complaint against Priyanka Gandhi, the Commission has sent a notice to her. The BJP on Wednesday accused Priyanka Gandhi of mentioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal religious beliefs for making false claims while campaigning in Rajasthan and urged the Election Commission to take action against the Congress leader.
