New Delhi, August 6 (Ozi news desk):  As Sheikh Hasina navigates the complexities of her uncertain future, she finds herself yearning for two significant aspects that were once pivotal in her life, particularly as she seeks refuge in an Indian safe house. The first of these is the nurturing and maternal warmth that the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi extended to her and her sister Rehana during their initial plea for political asylum in Delhi, following the tragic mass executions of their family members in August 1975. The second element she misses is the invaluable advice and support provided by the late President Pranab Mukherjee, especially during critical discussions regarding the intricate relationship between India and Bangladesh. In her heartfelt tribute to Indira Gandhi, featured in the book “India’s Indira: A Centennial Tribute,” edited by veteran Congress leader Anand Sharma, Hasina reminisces about the compassion they received upon their arrival in Delhi. She recalls how Indira Gandhi not only welcomed them with open arms but also offered refuge to their aunts, who had suffered immense losses and disabilities in the aftermath of the violence.
