Chandigarh, June 8 (Ozi news desk): A number of prominent Bollywood figures, such as Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Shekhar Suman, and Adhyayan Suman, have expressed their support for Kangana Ranaut, the actor and newly elected Member of Parliament from Mandi, after she was allegedly slapped by a female constable from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Azmi, while acknowledging that she does not have a close relationship with Ranaut, stated that she cannot join in the celebration of the incident. She emphasized that if security personnel take the law into their own hands, it poses a threat to the safety of everyone. In a separate development, Azmi’s husband, Javed Akhtar, a respected screenwriter and lyricist, has taken legal action against Ranaut for her claims that he had threatened her. The defamation case is currently ongoing in court.
