Mumbai, 09-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)– Jofra Archer, the leading fast bowler of the Mumbai Indians team, has been ruled out of the IPL 2023. Mumbai bought Jofra Archer in 2022 for Rs 8 crore. Now Chris Jordan has been included in the team instead of Jofra.
Jofra has played 5 matches in this IPL. In this he got only two wickets. Along with this, even in the 2022 IPL season, Jofra could not play a single match for Mumbai Indians. Jofra Archer was struggling with fitness issues. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) was constantly monitoring his fitness. After being dropped from the Mumbai Indians squad, Jofra will now go home, where his rehabilitation process will begin. Along with this, Chris Jordan will now be present with the Mumbai team in the remaining matches.
Chris Jordan’s base price in the last IPL was Rs 2 crore. But, he did not find a buyer. Jordan has previously played for Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.
