Noida, March 12 (ozi news desk): Seema Haider, a Pakistani national who entered India illegally with her four children last year and now resides in Greater Noida, expressed her appreciation for the Centre’s decision to notify the rules of implementation of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
Haider, who claims to have converted to Hinduism and married a resident of Greater Noida, Sachin Meena, believes that the CAA will assist her in obtaining Indian citizenship. However, it should be noted that Haider will not directly benefit from the CAA, as it is intended to expedite citizenship for undocumented non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan who arrived in India prior to December 31, 2014.
In a video message, Haider, accompanied by Sachin and three of her children, expressed her gratitude to the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling their promises. She also extended her congratulations to advocate A P Singh for his efforts, as she believes that this law will help resolve her citizenship-related challenges.
