Senior law enforcement officials have indicated that, in light of this incident, security agencies have raised the alert level not only in Punjab but also in several neighboring states. Consequently, the Amritsar police have ramped up their surveillance efforts by establishing specialized checkpoints and conducting comprehensive inspections of vehicles at key entry and exit points, including the prominent Golden Gate. This proactive approach aims to ensure public safety and prevent any potential threats in the aftermath of the blast.
A significant contingent of police officers has been stationed throughout critical areas of the city. Enhanced security measures are particularly evident at bustling intersections, marketplaces, places of worship, and tourist attractions to ensure that any suspicious activities are promptly identified. Senior officials have instructed all units to maintain constant vigilance and conduct ongoing patrols in sensitive areas.

Inspector Balwinder Singh, overseeing the checkpoint operation, emphasized that police have been directed to stay alert and thoroughly inspect every vehicle entering the city. He also mentioned that specialized teams have been assigned to various chowks and strategic locations to ensure a smooth traffic flow while maintaining rigorous surveillance.
In response to the recent security alert following the Delhi blast, additional patrol units have been deployed throughout the city to oversee public spaces, transportation hubs, and key government facilities.
