In the case of breach of Parliament’s security, the Delhi Police has asked the Lucknow Police to search for the bike-riding cobbler who planted the smoke canisters in the shoes of the accused Sagar Sharma and Manaran D. Sources said that the police want to make Mochi a witness in this case. Sources of Delhi Police said that Sagar had earlier tried to make space in the shoes himself. A team of Delhi Police also visited Lucknow earlier this month in search of the cobbler. He also inquired from many cobblers in Alambagh. Sagar told investigators that when he could not make shoes himself, he went to a cobbler in Alambaug. He had bought two pairs of shoes for 595 rupees from a shop near his house. The space was created by cutting off the bottom of the shoe of the left foot. An additional rubber sole was placed on the bottom of the boot. According to the FIR, the inner sole of the right foot boot was also partially cut. The police also found a pair of shoes, soles and a shoe measuring stick from the house of Ramnagar in Alambagh, Lucknow, Sagar. A diary and some books about Shaheed Bhagat Singh were also found in the house.
