Sultanpur, 31 March(Press Ki Taquat): Rajya Sabha member and environmentalist Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, while giving a demand letter to Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanded daily operation of two-day train running from Howrah to Takht Shri Harimandar Ji, Patna Sahib. During a brief meeting with Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw at Parliament House, Sant Seechewal said that he had gone to Takht Sri Patna Sahib yesterday to pay obeisance, where the management committee of Takht Sri Harimandar Patna Sahib had given him a demand letter in which Keeping in mind the faith of the devotees, he had demanded to contact the central government to run Akal Takht Express daily from Patna Sahib and to run new superfast express train. During this meeting, Sant Seechewal also raised the demand of the Railway Minister to run a new superfast express train. Sant Seechewal said that the Railway Minister has assured that the long standing demand of the pilgrims of Sri Patna Sahib will be considered sympathetically and a decision will be taken soon so that the Sikh pilgrims easily can visit Patna Sahib and the Guru Dhams of the region without any difficulty.
Sant Seechewal said that during his visit to Takht Sahib, the members of the management committee led by Jagjot Singh, the chairman, gave him this demand letter. This religious place is the birth place of Sarbans Dani Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the founder of the Khalsa Panth. Lakhs of devotees of all religions from all over the world come here everyday to pay obeisance and seek the blessings of the Gurughar. The Akal Takht Express from Punjab to Bengal during this journey is a very favorite and popular train for pilgrims to go to Patna Sahib, but this train runs only for two days, so devotees have to wait long for tickets to travel in it. Therefor the gursangats demands from a long time that the Akal Takht Express train number 12317/ 12318 ( that runs via Patna Sahib from Howrah to Amritsar) to be run on daily basis. Sant Seechewal brought all these demands to the notice of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during the meeting and he demanded to fulfill these demands.
