During an event, the 37-year-old cricketer emphasized that he prefers not to plan too far ahead, but assured fans that they can expect to see him on the field for some time to come. This reaffirmed his stance on the matter, which he had initially made clear after stepping down from T20 cricket following India’s triumph over South Africa in the final.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah, has confirmed that Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team in the upcoming World Test Championship cycle and the Champions Trophy scheduled for February-March next year.
