Canada, 10-06-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a big statement and said that his government will evaluate each case of more than 700 Indian students facing deportation from Canada due to fake admission documents. will and victims of fraud will have an opportunity to demonstrate their position and present evidence to support their case.

Trudeau’s comments came as a relief to students who have been protesting on the streets in Canada claiming they were duped by a travel agent in India who provided them with fake documents. The students are claiming that they were unaware of the fraud.

Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal also wrote to Indian High Commissioner in Canada Sanjay Kumar Verma and Canadian High Commissioner in India Cameron Mackay on Friday asking them to resolve the issue of 700 students to be deported from Canada.

According to the Punjab Information and Public Relations Department, Dhaliwal said in his letter that your attention is drawn to the deportation of more than 700 students from Canada due to fake acceptance letters from Canadian colleges. It is worth noting that these students are innocent and have been cheated by a gang of fraudsters, which includes travel agents, officials of the Canadian Embassy in India and other agencies in Canada.

Dhaliwal said that for the NRI meetings to be held at the district level from July 15 to August 30, open invitation is being given to migrant Punjabis to bring their problems and efforts will be made to address the difficulties of every migrant Punjabi. Only then should the solution be taken.

He told the police and civil officials in strict words that the grievances of the migrant Punjabis, which have not been resolved so far, should be settled by June 30 in any case. A total of 609 complaints were received in the earlier NRI meetings, out of which 522 have been resolved while 87 complaints are pending.

In the meeting NRI Department Principal Secretary Dilip Kumar, Secretary Kanwal Preet Brar, Jalandhar Division Commissioner-cum-Chairperson NRI Sabha Jalandhar Gurpreet Kaur Sapra, ADGP. NRI Wing Praveen K. Sinha and the nodal officers of all the districts were present.
