Punjab’s Information and Public Relations Minister, S. Chetan Singh Jauramajra, said today that following the resounding success of the education revolution in the state, Punjab is now poised to embark on a transformative journey known as the Health Revolution. This groundbreaking initiative will kickstart in the city of Patiala, where the Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, along with Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, are set to inaugurate the ‘Sehatmand Punjab’ scheme. This healthcare project, with a total investment of Rs. 550 crore, is set to launch on October 2.
Cabinet Minister Jauramajra highlighted the visionary leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, who is steering Punjab toward becoming a trailblazer in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
He further elaborated that the second phase of the ‘Sehatmand Punjab’ campaign will initiate projects worth Rs. 550 crore, benefiting healthcare institutes across the entire state. During this event, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and S. Bhagwant Singh Mann will lay the foundation stone for the expansion and improvement of Mata Kushalya Government Hospital, in addition to the upgrading of 40 health institutions throughout the state.
The Minister emphasized that the state government, in its commitment to providing top-notch healthcare facilities, has already established 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics across the state in the first phase of the health revolution.
Minister Jauramajra expressed great pride and satisfaction in the fact that, within just 18 months of its tenure, the Mann government has fulfilled major election promises such as free electricity, Aam Aadmi Clinics, School of Eminence, and more. He also noted that several other unanticipated guarantees have also been fulfilled by the state government, demonstrating their dedication to the well-being of all sections of society.
