Most of the areas of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh are currently under the spell of cold weather. Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a minimum temperature of 8.1 degrees Celsius, while Bathinda and Amritsar in Punjab remained the coldest, recording minimum temperatures of 6 and 6.2 degrees Celsius respectively. Similarly, Bhiwani and Jhajjar in Haryana remained the coldest, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 6.2 and 6.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
