Mohali, December 22:( )
Lions Club Panchkula Premier distributed jerseys and shoes to approximately 400 students at Government Senior Secondary School, Govindgarh, Mohali. Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh attended the event as the chief guest.
Speaking to journalists, MLA Kulwant Singh noted that Lions Club Panchkula Premier has a history of active involvement in social service. He praised the distribution of winter gear to 400 students as a commendable effort. He added that such initiatives inspire other social organizations to take similar steps to provide relief to students during the winter season.
MLA Kulwant Singh emphasized that the government alone cannot achieve everything unless the public and social organizations step forward to recognize their responsibilities. “When these three forces—the government, the public, and NGOs—unite, I don’t think any task can remain incomplete,” he said. He appealed to everyone to work collectively to improve the social environment and help those in need. He also mentioned that the club would continue its social service activities in several other nearby schools in the coming days.
The MLA stated that true social welfare is only possible when representatives of social organizations and citizens voluntarily take responsibility and become role models for others.
He further highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the AAP government has significantly improved the education system by upgrading infrastructure in government schools and recruiting teachers and staff on a large scale. He concluded by thanking the entire team of the Lions Club for their contribution.
