On September 27th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a series of developmental initiatives in Odisha, marking a significant investment in the region’s infrastructure and services. In Jharsuguda, he not only laid the foundation stone but also inaugurated projects totaling over Rs. 60,000 crore, which encompass a wide array of sectors including telecommunications, railways, healthcare, higher education, skill development, and rural housing. Among the notable achievements highlighted during the event was the commissioning of approximately 97,500 4G towers utilizing indigenous technology, aimed at enhancing digital connectivity. Additionally, substantial upgrades to railway infrastructure were announced, designed to improve connectivity and stimulate economic growth not only within Odisha but also in neighboring states. Concurrently, in Andhra Pradesh, PM Modi is set to virtually inaugurate 5,985 new 4G towers equipped with BSNL’s homegrown technology from Vijayawada, further bolstering the state’s digital landscape. This significant event is expected to draw the attention of various dignitaries, including Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Ministers, senior officials from the telecommunications sector, and local leaders, all of whom will gather to witness the advancements that promise to transform the region’s connectivity and economic prospects.
