Patiala, June 17 (Ozi news desk):  The recent scorching summer weather, combined with the ongoing process of planting paddy, has resulted in a surge in electricity demand to an unprecedented level, surpassing last year’s peak of 15,325 MW over the past three days. This situation has raised concerns about potential power shortages in the near future.

The All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) has expressed these concerns in a formal letter addressed to the Punjab Government, highlighting the need for proactive measures to prevent power disruptions as the demand continues to rise. The federation has emphasized the importance of taking immediate action to address the escalating power demand.
