Patiala, March 11 (ozi news desk): Baldev Singh was receiving medical care at Rajindra Hospital due to respiratory problems. Unfortunately, seven farmers have lost their lives during the ongoing protest, with another farmer passing away recently.
The demonstration caused disturbances at approximately 70 sites in the mentioned states, leading to the cancellation of nine train services and delays for approximately 25 others. Despite the nationwide “rail roko” call by farmer unions, farmers from other states chose not to join the protest.
Nonetheless, the unions asserted that their movement gained traction in different regions of the country, despite government crackdowns in several states. A leader stated that numerous trains were canceled in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar, emphasizing the success of the protest.
