Concluding the cases of regularization of unauthorized colonies applied under the 2013 and 2018 Regularization policies of the Government, Patiala Development Authority (PDA) has rejected the regularization cases of 212 unathorized colonies in Patiala District. Though the last date for submission of all proofs/documents mandated under the Regularization Policies was 14.11.2022 initially, the government had given an extension of 06 months to the developers of unauthorized colonies to complete all formalities till in 14th May 2023. This was publicized through newspapers for information of all concerned by PDA. Hearings and meetings were routinely held by PDA with developers/owners to expedite the scrutiny of proofs/documents in order to regularize or reject the cases. After completing the scrutiny process, orders of rejection were issued to the concerned colonizers/developers. Further action will be being initiated by PDA under section 36 of Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act 1995 against those developers/colonizers who fail to file appeals against the rejection orders within the mandated period with the Appelate Authority.
