Patiala, February 7(Press Ki Taquat): Patiala District Administration has launched Learning Students Exchange Program under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni along with School Education Department in an exclusive initiative to break the myth about government schools that ‘government schools cannot compete with private schools’. Under this, as a pilot project, today 10 students of 9th and 12th standard and two teachers of Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Model Town and Budha Dal Public School went to another school and held classes.
Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni went to both the schools where he sat with the students and listened to the teachers who were teaching in the classes. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, as education is the primary priority of the Punjab government, the main objective of this project is to raise the standard of education with mutual partnership in private and government schools. . He said that under this, as a pilot project, the students of Model Town School and Budha Dal School were put in the same class today to increase mutual knowledge.
Sakshi Sahni Deputy District Education Officer Dr. Ravinderpal Singh, Principal of Government Smart School Model Town Dr. Balbir Singh Jora and Budha Dal Public School Principal Harpreet Kaur also interacted and discussed the success of this program with the teachers. He said that according to the feedback of the students, this program will be made for three days so that the myth created among the people about government schools that they are not competitive with private schools, will be broken.
While the students of both the schools shared their experiences, they said that being a part of this exchange program was very good for them and they went to the other school where they met other students and talked with them about education, the environment of the other school. Information has also been received. The students said that they want such programs to be continuous and instead of one day for 3 or more days so that they can get the environment of other schools to raise their intellectual level.
