26 february (ozi news desk): Pankaj Udhas’ daughter, Nayaab, took to Instagram to share the sad news of her father’s demise. She expressed her grief and informed the followers about his passing due to a prolonged illness on 26th February 2024. The comment section was flooded with condolences from fans, expressing their sympathies and prayers. The family source revealed that Pankaj passed away at the Breach Candy hospital around 11 am, and his last rites will be conducted on Tuesday. Pankaj is survived by his wife, Farida Udhas, daughters Nayaab and Reva Udhas, and brothers Nirmal and Manhar Udhas, who are also renowned singers.
Pankaj Udhas, the celebrated ghazal and playback singer, known for his unforgettable rendition of ‘Chitthi Aayi Hai’, has sadly left us at the age of 72.
