Pakistan has taken significant measures by blocking its airspace to Indian airlines and closing the Wagah border crossing. This decision follows a high-level meeting where Pakistan firmly  of the Indus Water Treaty in response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, emphasizing that the treaty is vital for the sustenance of its 240 million citizens. A statement from the National Security Council indicated that any threats to Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with strong retaliatory actions across various domains. Additionally, Islamabad has suspended visas for Indians under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme, with the exception of Sikh pilgrims, and has requested military advisers at the Indian High Commission to depart by April 30.
