Tarn Taran, 19 December 2021, (Press Ki Taquat Bureau)-

The Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Sunday strongly condemned the incidents of sacrilege at Golden Temple Amritsar and Kapurthala and said that the Punjab government would ensure that the perpetrators of such heinous crimes are not only identified but also face the law of land. He said that no one would be allowed to disturb the hard earned peace and communal harmony of the state.

He cautioned the Punjabis that as the Punjab government was already vigilant for checking such incidents from taking place, the people should also be more vigilant for the maintenance of religious places.

This was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi after inaugurating the commencement of construction work of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Law University Kairon at Patti, District Education and Training Institution Kairon and Dr. BR Ambedkar Public Park. Area MLA Harminder Singh Gill had organised a public rally in this regard, that was addressed by the CM.

He said that due to such incidents of heinous nature, all Nanak Naam Leva Sangat is in sad state and assured that the perpetrators of these crimes would not be spared.

While highlighting the achievements of his government, the Chief Minister said that all the announcements he had made for the betterment of the people of Punjab, have been implemented in their true spirit. Apart from waiving arrears of electricity bills up to 2KW, electricity arrears of water supply schemes have also been waived off by the Punjab government. He said that the rates of petrol have been reduced by Rs. 10 per litre and diesel by Rs. 5 per litre. He said that even the sand mafia has been decimated and now rate of sand has been fixed at Rs 5.50 per cubic feet. He said that Punjab government was committed for the welfare of the people of the state.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister further said that as long as the Shiromani Akali Dal is under the control of Badals and Majithia, the Akali Dal should forget about coming back to power. He said that people of Punjab have not forgotten the misdeeds of Badals even today. While taking aim at Arvind Kejriwal, CM Channi said that Punjab was not a shamlat land, that any outsider can come and occupy. He said that Kejriwal had come to Punjab with the intention of looting, but vigilant Punjabis would teach him a lesson for the second time in a row.

Talking about Capt. Amarinder Singh’s alliance with BJP, he said that the formed Punjab CM was already in an alliance with the BJP, which he has now been announced formally. He said that Capt. Amarinder Singh had betrayed the people of Punjab by joining hands with anti-Punjab BJP.

On this occasion he also announced Rs.10 crore for the development of villages of Patti constituency, Rs.5 crore for the development of Patti city and Rs.2 crore for the overall development of village Kairon. He also announced that a bronze statue of former CM of joint Punjab and visionary Partap Singh Kairon would be erected at a cost of about Rs. 25 lakh. He also announced to upgrade 5 schools in Patti.

Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that the recent incidents of sacrilege were being thoroughly investigated by the Punjab Police. He assured that real conspirators of this dastardly act would not be spared.

Khadoor Sahib MP Jasbir Singh Dimpa said that the Congress government in Punjab has taken all decisions in the public interest and that is why, a large section of society is supporting the CM. He said that Congress party would win the forthcoming assembly elections with ease and would once again form a pro-people government in the state.
