Chandigarh, July 18 (Ozi news desk): Manorama Khedkar, the mother of trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, was detained by the Pune Police on Thursday in Maharashtra’s Raigad in connection with a case involving a video showing her brandishing a gun.
The police took this action after receiving a complaint related to the video where Manorama Khedkar was seen threatening individuals with a gun following a land dispute in Mulshi tehsil of Pune district. Both Dilip Khedkar and Manorama Khedkar had gone missing after an FIR was filed against them.
Puja Khedkar, who is a trainee IAS officer from the 2023 batch, is also facing scrutiny for her claims regarding disability and Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates during her UPSC candidature, as well as her behavior while serving at the Pune collector’s office.
