Modi’s interaction with school students

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with around 250 underprivileged students from almost every district of Jammu and Kashmir who are visiting the country under the ‘Watan Ko Jano-Youth Exchange’ programme. An official statement said that the program held at the Prime Minister’s residence was informal. These students were visiting Jaipur, Ajmer and New Delhi under the Central Government programme. The statement said that the purpose of this trip with the spirit of ‘One India, Shrestha Bharat’ is to expose the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to the culture and social diversity of the country. The Prime Minister asked the students about their travel experience and the famous places they visited and also discussed the sports culture of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the statement, the Prime Minister wanted to know the students about their participation in sports and cited the example of young archer Sheetal Devi from Jammu and Kashmir who won three medals in the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou. Modi also appreciated the talent of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and said that they have the ability to gain expertise in any field. He advised the students to work and contribute for the development of the country and realize the dream of a developed India by 2047. Regarding the construction of the world’s highest railway bridge in Jammu and Kashmir, Modi said that it will improve connectivity in the region.
