New Delhi, June 7 (Ozi news desk): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be officially elected as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) during the coalition’s meeting in the national capital on Friday. According to BJP leader Pralhad Joshi, Modi will take his oath as the Prime Minister for the third time on June 9 at 6 pm. Additionally, it is anticipated that Modi will meet with President Droupadi Murmu later in the day to stake his claim in forming a new NDA government. Since the declaration of the Lok Sabha election results on June 4, the BJP has been actively engaged with alliance partners such as the TDP, JD(U), and other parties like the LJP to solidify the coalition and establish their claim to form the government. The NDA secured a total of 293 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha, with the BJP alone winning 240 seats, falling short of the 272 seats required to form a government independently. The support of four crucial allies, including N Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP, Nitish Kumar’s JDU, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, and Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas, is crucial for the BJP to attain a majority. During the meeting, it is expected that the allies will finalize the portfolios for the upcoming union cabinet.
