Chandigarh, 31-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)- 2 new faces have joined the cabinet of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Here at the Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister Mann has included Kartarpur MLA Balkar Singh and Lambi MLA Gurmeet Singh Khudiya in his cabinet. Both the ministers have taken the oath of office at the Raj Bhavan. Governor Banwari Lal Purohit has administered oath to both the ministers.
Cabinet Minister Inderbir Singh Nijjar resigned on Tuesday. Before this, there was a discussion to remove him from the cabinet. Nijr has recently raised questions on the action of the vigilance in a case. Complaints of corruption from a very close relative of his were received by the highman.
Balkar Singh, MLA from Kartarpur, has received a reward for his work in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election. Gurmeet Singh Khudian also served as Chief Minister for 5 times. Parkash Singh Badal was defeated, after which he has been made a minister.
