Chandigarh, December 13:
The Punjab Sports and Youth Services Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has directed the Youth Services department to release Rs. 1.50 crore till December 31 to all the youth clubs of the state which are doing significant work in conducting social welfare and awareness activities.
During a review meeting of the Youth Services Department in his office, Meet Hayer said that the State Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is providing financial support to those youth clubs that are doing excellent work at the ground level. He directed all the district officials to release the financial assistance/grant to the youth clubs by December 31, 2023.
He further said that under the NSS scheme, Maximum number of special camps should be set up in the units running at the district level. During meeting, the issues raised by the officials of the Youth Services Department regarding other schemes were also discussed.
Meet Hayer directed the department to upload all the information on the website in order to be in sync with the practices of modern era. He said that the entire process of affiliating youth clubs should be done on the website.
The Minister appreciated the department for the good works and activities. He assured to resolve the difficulties in running the departmental schemes at the district level.
