Patiala, 16 January:
Under the able guidance of Ms Rupinderjit Chahal, Ld. District and Sessions Judge cum Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala and under the supervision of Ms Manni Arora, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, medical camps were organized in Central Jail, Patiala and New District Jail, Nabha in collaboration with health department and jail administration. During the medical camp in Central Jail, Patiala and Open Air Jail, Nabha, total 269 jail inmates were medically examined by specialist doctors.
Apart from this, a legal awareness programme was also conducted by District Legal Services Authority, Patiala in ADR Centre, District Courts Complex Patiala. During this programme, litigants were made aware about Punjab Victim Compensation Scheme, NALSA Compensation Scheme for Women Victims/Survivors of Sexual Assault/ other crimes, 2018, free legal services and upcoming national lok adalat to be held on 9.3.2024 by Ms Manni Arora, CJM cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala and Sh. Rajan Verma, Panel Advocate.
